Test Results
Test results will be available to you by telephone. Please telephone the practice for results after 11am. We will always contact you if further action is needed following receipt of your test results.

Out of Hours
For an illness that cannot wait until the surgery is open please telephone our usual daytime surgery number, 01773 535511, when your call will be redirected to the out-of-hours service. Your needs will be assessed and you will either be given advice or arrangements will be made for you to see a healthcare professional.

Are you aware that rather than having to make an appointment with your GP, you can visit the pharmacy for minor ailments  such as insect bites and stings, coughs, colds, tummy upsets, sunburn and many more minor ailments?

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you.

As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website to access other health-related information. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.

Access to the practice

The Centre has suitable access for disabled patients. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor. All consulting rooms and the patients' toilets are wheelchair accessible and there is a bell at the front door to ring for help with wheelchair access through the entrance doors.

Medical Care When We Are Closed

Please consider visiting your Pharmacy before calling your GP Practice. Click here for more information.  Pharmacy First Information

There is a new service on the site where the Walk In Centre used to be- Urgent Care Centre Information

Please be aware this service is for planned dressings, minor burns and scalds, minor head injury with no loss of consciousness, skin infections and animal bites, suspected broken bones, sprains and strains (X-Ray will be available on-site), eye infections and minor eye injuries. No appointment is needed, just drop in between 7am and 9pm 365 days a year. NB. The Walk-In Service Upper Parliament Street is now closed.

The new Urgent Care Centre now operates from the old Walk In Centre premises. The walk in centre service provided previously has now ceased. Please visit your local pharmacy for a host of medical advice or ring 111. Please avoid A&E if you can.

Remember that A&E and 999 should only be used in emergencies Using them for minor problems or because you have no transport puts other people’s lives at risk and wastes NHS money that could be spent elsewhere. Phoning GP practice or 111 any time will usually result in faster and more appropriate advice and treatment. Arriving at A&E by ambulance does not give you priority over other patients. Please telephone 111 in the first instance or your local pharmacy.

Position Statement

Over the Counter Medications

As part of its self-care strategy, NHS Nottingham North and East, NHS Nottingham West and NHS Rushcliffe recommend people to visit their local pharmacy to purchase medicines and treatments for minor, short term conditions.

It is advised that all prescribers, including GPs and non-medical prescribers, direct individuals to purchase recommended, readily available, over the counter medicines, treatments and products.

Save time – do it online!

GP online services give patients the option to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view their GP records using their computer, tablet or smartphone rather than having to phone or visit their practice.

Online services complement the existing ways patients can access appointments, prescriptions and their records. Our practice already has the facility to offer online access to records and transactional services for our patients.

See below for more information on what is available to you.

Appointments

Did you know you can book your appointment online?

Using online services makes it more convenient for people at our practice, as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed.

If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.

Patients who need to be seen urgently on the same day will be offered an appointment with either a GP or practice nurse - these appointments may be outside of the routine consultation times.

During our hours of opening a GP is on call on a rota basis for urgent consultations and urgent advice.

Prescriptions

Did you know you can request your repeat prescription online?

The easiest, safest and quickest way to order your repeat prescription is online. There is no need to make a phone call or visit us; instead computer, smartphone or tablet users can request repeat prescriptions anywhere – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also check what medication you should be taking and when.

If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.
