*** Appointments update ***
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic we are running a full telephone triage service at the surgery. Your call will be placed on a telephone list and a GP will call you back to assess whether a face to face appointment is necessary. We are dealing with all medical issues in this way and will be doing for the foreseeable future.
Our Nurses are carrying out telephone, video and face to face appointments where necessary. We are currently in the process of catching up with our Long Term Condition reviews.
Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
If you have an appointment with or need to attend the Newthorpe Medical Practice it is important that you wear a face covering at all times. This is for your safety and the safety of other patients and staff.
Face coverings can be cloth and they can be homemade. Advice on how to wear and make one is on the government website. Face coverings worn as part of religious beliefs or cultural practice are also acceptable, providing they are not loose and cover the mouth and nose.
The vaccination programme has begun. When it is your turn you will be vaccinated, the NHS will contact you. In Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, a few different health and care organisations including hospitals, GP practices, care homes and others are working together on the Covid-19 vaccination programme. This means when it is your turn to be vaccinated, this may not be at your GP practice. You will be told where to go for your appointment and how to book.
We do not currently have a access to the vaccines, we may get access to them in the near future. At this point, if you were not able to attend a local vaccination centre, you will receive another invitation to have the vaccination done by us.

Save Time – Do It All Online!
GP online services give patients the option to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view their GP records using their computer, tablet or smartphone rather than having to phone or visit their practice. Online services complement the existing ways patients can access appointments, prescriptions and their records. Our practice already has the facility to offer online access to records and transactional services for our patients.
Unfortunately we cannot register under 16's for our Online Services, we understand that this can be a pain so you are now able to book appointments for your child / person you care for on your own personal account, but please ensure you get the name changed over on the day of the appointment.
